Photos of all the sketches, prints and artworks Alex and I gathered over the weekend at Bristol comic Expo 2013.
Not one of mine, this one’s an original piece by the great Ian Churchill featuring Marineman and Hip Flask recently purchased. Couldn’t resist not sharing.
Here’s a better look at the AWESOME piece of original art by the utterly brilliant Ian Churchill that we got at the Bristol Comic Expo this weekend!
Couldn’t pass up on this fantastic piece from the Liberty Annual, featuring a crossover with Ian’s Marineman and Hip Flash from Elephantmen!
Bristol Expo 2013 haul!
Starting top right we have: Portfolio booklet and Wolverine print by John Watson. Marineman and Hip Flask original art by Ian Churchill. 11th Doctor print by Mike Collins.
Cinebook Wind in the Willows vols 1&2. Malcolm Reynolds sketch print by Mike Collins. Wind in the Willows vols 3&4.
Cinebook Spooks vols 1&2, Sgt Mike Battle #2: Last Admin Hero, Doctor Who: The Dalek Project. Razarhawk #2, Clockwork Watch: Breakaway, Scorpion vol 6.
And then an assortment of free comics and things that were in the goodie bags.
And to continue with my Nightwing theme, here’s the cover to my story. Another Turner inspired drawing by me with colours by Sara Dunkerton. Click the picture for the link to the story.
Another of mine and Alex’s Nightwing collaborations. Again he pencilled and I digitally inked, coloured and added the titled text in Photoshop.
This minimalist illustration is the cover to Alex’s Nightwing fan fix, titled Childhood Ties. Have a read of this story and a few others he’s posted up on his Issuu profile!
Also don’t forget to check out our other creative collaboration, Doctor Who: The Impossible Crossing
After reblogging other Nightwing pictures I figured it was worth posting one of mine. This one was drawn by me and coloured by Sara Dunkerton, in the style of the late, great Michael Turner and based off of a Spider-Man/Red Sonja cover of his.
Creative collaboration with Alex Beedie on a bit of Nightwing/Barbara Gordon fan art in the style of our hero, Michael Turner.
Alex did the pencils and I digitally inked and coloured in Photoshop, then added a textured background.
Alex and I have worked together since on the non-profit Doctor Who comic titled; Doctor Who: The Impossible Crossing. Read issue one free here!
